Coupage: 100% Cabernet
Wine made with grapes from the Cabernet vineyard in Cueva de Antrull.
Cold maceration for 4 days prior to fermentation, followed by alcoholic maceration/fermentation with two pump-overs a day at 24°C in stainless steel tanks. Natural yeast from the grapes.
Aged in French and American oak barrels (not new) for 12 months. Gentle clarification and filtration, then bottling. Aged in the bottle for at least 18 months before sale.
To the eye: Ruby colour with violet reflections.

On the nose: A fruity (ripe plum) and mineral nose, with hints of spices, undergrowth and shrubs against a background of incense.

On the palate: Good attack, broad and full-bodied. Balanced, fine and smooth tannins. The silkiness and hints of liquorice stand out. Leaves a lingering finish and a delightful aftertaste.
An essential companion for classic Mediterranean meat dishes (chargrilled, stewed) prepared with traditional herbs and spices.
Excellent with sheep’s cheese.
